Yule,Resolutions and Sickness.... OH MY!

*pats her bloated belly* "4 days" she groans.. " Four days!" she whines as if it will reverse the hardship she has done to her body in four days time. Guilt sets in. "why did i have to go for dessert every night?" she asks herself.
Thats right tis the season to over indulge with friends and family. tis the season to eat delicious foods and celebrate closeness, the end of one year and another. the sun rising again to bring forth light in our darkness. The time to get bloated and gain 10 pounds in four days.  Grab a cup of Joe,Sit and get Comfy and have a read,This is the Boondock Witch.

So!G'day from Southern Ontario,Canada. It is a fine winters week except i had over ate all four days of festivities, i got a chest cold now and gained 10 pounds. okay maybe it was 5 pounds...but i have a crap metabolism, which i am sure any of you ladies out there with thyroid problems can vouch 5-10 pounds in 4 days is no problem to gain. So it just means i need to jog an extra couple of days and i need to stay away from sweets and starchy foods for a bit. but thats okay after four days of feasting.  I have been ignoring my black Hat society this week as well and most of the internet world. i think its solely because of the break i wanted from technology during the festivities and just a break in general. the ideas that computers run my life is not sitting comfortable as of yet. How ever worth mentioning is a friend of mine has started her own new blog that voices her journeys in  rediscovering Paganism plus her year and day worth of study.

Christmas With My Family. My family is small. we've been through a lot of bad, negative things. last Christmas i refused to join them but this year we all agreed that we should move forwards and try again. i am happy to report it wasn't all that bad. Anyways while sitting at the kitchen table i popped open my handy dandy laptop and popped in an old V-cd. Playing 1930's cartoons. a list of my favorites played and i realized that the magority of them had a nature based theme. Weird. Titles like "shine on harvest moon","To Spring" and "Jack Frost" played and i realized that maybe i was pagan alot longer then i thought i was. these old cartoons i used to watch and relate to as others my age watched Barney , power rangers or some other cartoons.
Its in the spirit of this that i wish to share this video with all of you. Maybe you will recognize this clip. maybe it was one of your favorites too.

When it comes to the solstice however, I celebrated it a slightly different way. One disclaimer is i never once said i was a priestess, i am no expert. in a way i am so suited stated as an armchair pagan. meaning i love books, reading and practicing on my own. However the joy of paganism is i can worship any way i see fit and comfortable with. A good example is i do not "cut" the air to a circle to get in. that seems just unnecessary/. i walk in the circle i casted. I do not do hour or two rituals on my own b/c well its tedious and i can get it done in a half hour without looking at a piece of paper half way through. Agree if you wish, disagree if you wish. I dont really care either way. i dont judge. However things i do each Yule is Cleansing rituals including a nice loooong bath infused with homemade Bath salts (which will be a witchcrafty!) I light candles once the sun goes down to keep in the light. I usually meditate for however long my body wishes to stay in meditation. and Finally. I leave out Milk and cookies. For Santa? Nooooo For Holda,.
